Jay-Z's short-lived "Occupy All Streets" t-shirt made a rare appearance on the X Factor on Wednesday night.

Contestant Chris Rene was the lucky man who donned the controversial tee, which was pulled from the Rocawear website less than a week after it became available. Apparently Occupy Wall Street protesters weren't happy that Jay-Z wasn't going to share the profits with them.

As for how Chris got the shirt, the show's head stylist June Ambrose said the shirt came from the Jigga Man himself.

Way to represent the 99%.

Q&A: Thoughts On Plus-Size Models Not Appearing Plus-Size

Filed Under: Models Netta P Q&A

nettap-q-and-a-banner.jpg

Here’s a question from CoColicious reader Ali regarding “plus-size” models:

Hi NettaP!

Plus size models? What do you think about the controversy regarding the plus size models at London fashion week? (UK sizes 10-14 = US sizes 8-12) I am disgusted that they are labelled "plus size models" rather than"normal healthy women" - what do you think?

Thanks Ali

Our fashionista Netta P responds:

Hey Ali,

Plus size models in the US are also usually size 8-12. I would like to see models of all sizes, especially if the clothing is meant for a plus size body, because I want to know what the clothes will look like on me. That being said, most plus size models that really are plus size usually also have large busts, and I don't have that, and I'm not holding my breath that I'll EVER see a plus size model with anything less than a double d cup size. But that's a story for another day. I don't think that women who are an 8-12 should be referred to as "plus size" if they're not because that's just not accurate, but, then again, I'm glad to see that models that are larger than a size 0-2 are being used on a runway anywhere. So, in short, baby steps!

Topman Pulls Domestic Violence T-Shirt

Filed Under: Icky Icky Poo Anglophilia Fashion Smashion Topshop

What is up with all the domestic violence references lately?

First there was the Canadian hair salon ad, then the Tyler Shields photo and now this.

Topshop's brother label Topman was forced to pull a shirt that mad fun of domestic violence after being inundated with complaints of their Facebook page.

The company issued a statement shortly after, saying:

"We have received some negative feedback regarding two of our printed T-shirts. Whilst we would like to stress that these T-shirts were meant to be light-hearted and carried no serious meaning, we have made the decision to remove these from store and online as soon as possible. We would like to apologise to those who may have been offended by these designs."

The other shirt they are referring to is one that compared women to dogs: "Nice New Girlfriend, What Breed Is She?".

Thoughts???
