Celebrity stylist Mariel Haenn is on the defensive after being accused of dressing Willow Smith in a Mother of London knock off harness at the American Music Awards.

Haenn took to her Twitter to try and distance herself from Willow, tweeting:

just an fyi, we only dressed Rihanna last nite. I don't like when people try to credit me for work that's not mine #justsayin

Stylist Rob Zangardi also tweeted:

dear internet, @marielhaenn and i only worked with rihanna at the ama's. #FREEMARIEL

We'd like to point out that Rob is also a costume designer, which makes us wonder if that sleeve was his doing.

What do U think???

Drama Over Willow Smith's AMA Outfit!

Uh oh.

Celebrity stylist Mariel Haenn is under fire for dressing her client Willow Smith in a knock off at the AMAs.

The item in question is that funky yellow arm piece the hair whipper wore Sunday night, which is almost an exact copy of Mother of London's leather harness.

When asked about seeing the copycat on the red carpet, designer Mildred Von Hildegard said:

I’m disappointed and saddened that this will negatively impact my business. My original design is now recognized in the mass media as someone else’s work, and it’s very hurtful on both a personal and professional levels. I hope this can be resolved, and I wish nothing but the best to Willow.

In an email, Mariel denied having anything to do with Willow this weekend: "To be honest I have no idea who ‘styled’ her or the designer. Wish I did. I don’t ask my clients who they used when I’m not available."

Kind of defensive for someone who wasn't involved, no?

Willow Smith Wants To Be A Designer

Filed Under: Fashion Smashion Will Smith Jada Pinkett Smith Lourdes Leon Collection's Bureau

Lourdes Leon isn't the only celebuspawn wanting to have an impact on the fashion industry because Will Smith and Jada Pinkett's daughter Willow already has plans for a career in fashion.

Stylist Mariel Haenn who also dresses both Willow and Rihanna says the 9 year old's goal, along with her brother Jaden, is to have their own clothing lines.

Mariel reveals:

With Rihanna, pretty soon after she came on the scene, you started seeing designers from Forever 21 to Gucci coming out with styles mimicking her look. We hope the same thing happens here, but I think the ultimate goal is for Willow and Jaden to have their own line.

We can totes see Willow with her own line and we bet it would be pretty fierce too!

X-Tina Is Ripping Off Rihanna

She is not going to like hearing this!

Stylist Mariel Haenn is weighing on Christina Aguilera's copycat-ness and believes she's ripping off her client Rihanna more than Lady GaGa.

Haenn said at an event this past week:

"Seeing stuff − the black patent leather, the tutus and the spikes - reminds me of Rihanna more than Gaga."

Ouch!

If you want our opinion, we'd say she's ripping off BOTH!

What do U think???
