Q&A: How To Prevent Your Nail Polish From Chipping

I spend a lot of money on a mani pedi every week and my nail polish chips straight away even after using enamel – got any tips so that it doesn’t crack?

Hi Sam

My suggestion would have to be switching to a professional gel polish … they are the AMAZING!! A good quality gel polish will last between 2 – 3 weeks will ensure you don’t ever have to deal with chips or smudges again!! The brand I use and highly recommend is Artistic Color Gloss, I find it to be the best available to date with over 66 colors and it lasts aprox 21 days with absolutely no damage to the natural nails at all!

Daphne Guinness Uses What For Lipstick!?

Leave it to Daphne Guinness to use something other than lipstick on her lips.

In a recent interview the beer heiress revealed:

"Yesterday I was using nail polish as lipstick. It's just experiment after experiment. I'll mix one with another one to try to find the ones that I like."

Umm is that even safe? And how on earth does she get it off?

Hi Annie

To be honest there really isn’t a right or wrong way to polish your nails … I personally apply polish to my own nails working from my left pinkie to my thumb then from my right pinkie to my thumb. I find  this helps prevent me from smudging any.
