Style Icon Zelda Kaplan Dies Front Row At Fashion Week

How sad!

Club fixture and style icon Zelda Kaplan died while sitting front row at Joanna Mastroianni's fall fashion show on Wednesday.

According to those who attended the Lincoln Center show, the 95 year old slumped over right as the second model walked down the runway. A witness added:

"Zelda passed away, right there, in the front row. Security carried her out, but the show just carried on. Everybody is distraught."

Paramedics performed CPR on Kaplan and rushed her to the hospital, but it was too late to revive her.

Zelda's close friend and designer Richie Rich said:

"Passing away in the front row was how it was meant to be. Zelda loves fashion, so she died for fashion. She would have wanted to go out in style. Zelda always said, ‘Live, live, live and have fun’ . . . I hope the angels are holding her right now."

Our thoughts go out to Zelda's friends and family during this difficult time.

Figure skater and fashionisto Johnny Weir was one of the celebrity guests at the Richie Rich fashion show last week wearing a whole lotta nothin'.

Johnny werked the runway covered in glitter, paint and a small piece of fabric around his waist.

Mannequin On The Loose!

This past Sunday a mannequin dressed like the designer Richie Rich was stolen from a party at Don Hill's in New York City.

According to a partygoer:

"The crowd was wild and dancing late when two guys apparently rolled the mannequin out the back exit like a drunk date."

Ha!

Either Richie has an obsessed stalker on his hands or, actually we can't come up with any other explanation.

Ellen DeGeneres Works The Richie Rich Runway!

Amazing!

Those who attended the Richie Rich fashion show got quite the surprise on Thursday night. Rather than Pamela Anderson jiggling her old saggy parts for the finale, it was Ellen DeGeneres!

The funny lady was looking fierce as she walked the runway in a shiny light gray suit, a multicolored graphic tee, blue gloves and a tiny hat that was perched on the top of her head.

Loves it!
