Up-and-coming fashion designer Mark Fast is making waves at London Fashion Week! The Canadian fashionista opted to employ some "normal-sized," (US size 8 & 10) models to walk in his show.
Shocking!
Managing director Amanda May said, "There's this idea that only slim and slender women are able to wear Mark's dresses, and he wanted to combat that."
We love that! And he's right, a normal sized lady can rock a bodycon dress if she can pull it off!
Unfortunately, not everyone shares our enthusiasm for Fast's refreshing attitude. As a result of this decision, his stylist and casting director walked out on him two days before the show.
That's just shameful. Not every model needs to be skin and bones!
Thankfully, stylist Daniela Agnelli and casting director Natalie Hubbard stepped up to the plate at the last minute and the show went on without a hitch.
Three cheers for Mark Fast! Let's hope he starts a trend!
