Mary J. Blige Designing Shirts

Once again, Mary J. Blige is using her star power for good.

Just last year, Blige teamed up with Gucci to create a watch to help benefit her charity, The Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now (FFAWN).

And now, she's teaming up with Catherine Malandrino to co-brand a t-shirt collection to do the same.

The label, FFAWN + Catherine Malandrino, features shirts with hand-painted inspirational messages. Some include the words "I'm Power" and "I'm Free."

Says Malandrino, who also serves on the board of directors for FFAWN, “As a designer, I feel I have a role to play. What I want is to free women. Femininity is a strength and not a weakness.”

With Blige adding:

“Even better, every woman can feel beautiful and comfortable rocking these Ts just about anywhere. Catherine has been a dear friend of mine for years and, after she learned about FFAWN and our mission, she offered to create a T-shirt collection that would celebrate being women, being strong and being free. These are not your average T-shirts."

The duo will be making an appearance at the Bloomingdale's in Manhattan this February 17th to generate more press for the line while greeting shoppers.

The tees will start at $39 with a percentage of all sales going to benefit FFAWN.
