The ugly Christmas sweater is all the rage this year. And as far as buyers are concerned, the uglier the better.
The Wall Street Journal ran a piece on the heinous phenomenon and reports Google searches for "ugly Christmas sweaters" are up 30% from last year.
What's more shocking is the amount someone's willing to pay for one.
This year someone bought an ugly reindeer sweater for $282.59 on eBay, which broke last year's record of $200.
Seriously!?
Holiday sweaters in general are up 24% for the online auction site and there's even one seller that dedicates their entire eBay store to them!
Appropriately titled My Ugly Christmas Sweaters, offers an array of sweaters that light up, sparkle and make you go "eww".
Who would have thought those tacky sweaters from the 80s would be back with a vengeance?
