Vivienne Westwood Isn't The Biggest Fan Of Kate Middleton's Style

Someone's nose is smelling their mascara.

Vivienne Westwood has come out with her disapproval of Kate Middleton's look, stating she 'needs to catch up a bit somewhere with style.'

Vivienne, who designed that gorgeous wedding gown in Sex and the City (for those of you un-fashion-familiar) continues with her thumbs down of the Duchess:

I think she's got a problem with eye make-up! The sharp line around her eyes make her look hard. Either she should be smudgy or wear none. Let me put it this way. It seems to me, that her image is 'ordinary woman.' Therefore, high street shopper. And I just think she should be an extraordinary woman, wherever she gets her clothes from.

But Dame Westwood, with all due respect, we believe Kate IS an extraordinary woman WHEREVER she gets her clothes from.

Let's not forget that Kate didn't grow up as privileged as her hubby, and it's her staying true to herself that has garnered her such a large following.

If she wants to don high fashion, great. And Vivienne's is some of the best. But if she'd rather sport something a bit more common, well, that's just as fabulous.

Kate carries her fashion with the highest of elegance, and to us, that's the highest class of style.
